All brush, shrubs, tree trimmings and cuttings shall be cut into not more than four-foot lengths and tied in bundles weighing no more than 50 pounds nor more than 18 inches in diameter. No rocks or dirt shall be placed in plastic bag containers. Garbage shall not be placed in open bins where collectors have to remove same by hand or forks. Vehicles are to be loaded no higher than the top of the cab.
All other vehicles and trailers will be weighed and charged at the rate of $37.00 per ton for Johnson County residents. Any vehicle that cannot prove they are a resident of Johnson County will be charged $50.00 per ton for both pickups and trailers. |
Upon submission of the most recently paid water bill, a resident of the city, may dump one time each month for no charge. The free disposal will be limited to pickups loaded no higher than the top of the cab.
Anyone wishing to dispose of grass clippings or other yard waste may deliver these materials at no charge. Individuals who wish to pick up composted debris may do so at the same site at no charge.
Mulch is available on Fridays and Saturdays at no charge.
