The Cleburne Police Department maintained a jail until 2001.  At that time the City of Cleburne executed a contract with Johnson County for the housing of all prisoners.  All persons arrested by the Cleburne Police Department are taken directly to the county jail.

In mid 2008, the Cleburne City Council elected to remove all parking meters from city streets.  The position of Parking Enforcement Officer was absorbed into Police Records.  Parking enforcement is a duty performed by motorcycle traffic officers and patrol officers.
